Farewell old Hokas

This happened with my last pair of Hokas as well: after about a year the heel lining of the left shoe wore through to expose a viciously sharp plastic inner.

This made a cut in my heel and I have to watch my feet very carefully as I’m diabetic.

This temporary bandaid fix is no solution so I’ll soon be on my third pair of Hokas which otherwise are superb. 😀

Are they coming from mainland Europe?

Perhaps. I have emailed 4 times over the last 2-3 months about when new stock will be available and I get the sale brush off reply. It’s so frustrating. I wondered if production had stopped with the pandemic. I wondered if the company might be about to fold (this might tip me over the edge). But I can’t get to the bottom of it. It’s very annoying.

Something at the back of my mind says mine came from the Netherlands.

If you’ve got a VPN, you could try looking at the website through a European IPN and see if there’s a bigger choice.

I don’t think there is. It’s a little concerning HF. The low drop has fixed my knee issues and there are very few other makes and styles with equivalent drops of 5mm. Plus I love the boinginess of the Gaviota 😕

I’ve got a reply! New styles being released in February!

Big relief! I looked last night for huge, wide Aharis and saw that they’re still available. Perhaps will be discounted if new styles come along.

However, if they do come from le Continent, we should prepare ourselves for slower delivery and customs charge.

When I say New styles, the gaviota 3 so maybe arahi 5? Rather than brand new styles.

They’ve just been dropped in Australia so hopefully you won’t have to wait too much longer 👍🏻
