Glad to be back out again.

Recovering from my fall the other week took a bit longer than I hoped. Grazes and bruises were not a problem but shoulder and upper arms must have taken rather a jolt and are only now beginning to feel normal.

I took my first run rather easy after having over a week off and made sure it was in daylight!! I ran on the same route as I did when I had my fall and although I had run it many times before with no problem felt very apprehensive as I approached the dreaded spot. I can see why I fell so hard as the path slopes down at that point which is something I had not noticed before. There is still a patch of wet leaves covering half the path but no sign of the plastic bag that I caught my feet in (why I would imagine it would still be there I don't know!!). I felt slightly sick as I passed over the spot and then felt relief once passed it.

I hope those feeling subside on future runs but it does show how you can be affected physiologically.

Although it hurt when I fell, I was luck not to be seriously hurt, I can now well appreciate what affects it would have on someone that had a really serious injury.

A fall like that is not something I would want to repeat.

:) :) :)

Great to hear you're back out running. I'm sure once you've been out on a few runs that spot won't make you feel the way it does. Well done 👏👏
