A few pics from my Narnia-inspired snowy run this morning!
It was so beautiful out and I took it carefully in my trusty Hoka Speedgoats!π One slightly embarrassing moment when I was walking and taking photos and managed to slip over on a rooty path!π³π
This is the first snowfall we have had this winter and there were lots of folk out and about and many giant snowballs and snow men βοΈ on the playing fields when I returned from the trails! Despite the snow being a bit slippy in places, some of the paths were easier to run on than they were last weekend when it was so muddy! Those same trails were definetly easier to navigate now they are semi- frozen and covered in fresh snowfall!
Well done Sandraj39 that looks a beautiful scene! Sadly thereβs been no snow at Bognor Regis this morning, but I was out earlier when I was hit by squally rain and sleet along the promenade. There was no other way back but to run into it!π³
You look happy in your winter wonderland! Nice to look at but I would never run on it now; my only concession to age. The trails are still hazardous up here, so road runs it is π€·ββοΈ
That looks beautiful! I had a snow run in my new trailys yesterday and today i went for a walk in the Botanics - taking the new shoes for another spin π. Its just glorious outdoors at the moment. You look very happy with your run.
Nice run for you in the snow, lovely winter wonderland, "warning" for you today who has had your first snow of the winter to us runners in Scotland who have lost count in the number of days which we have had snow, OK running as it was this morning but when the snow melts slightly then refreezes or many people walk on the snow, that is when it becomes very difficult to walk, let alone run, so be careful in the next few days.
Yes, youβre right AlMorr - fresh snowfall is certainly when it is safest to run on. If itβs still with us tomorrow, I am sure it will be more treacherous underfoot.
How about this, I have just noticed the temperature in Saskatoon where our friend SaskAllie in Canada lives and runs is - 26C but with the wind blowing it feels like - 32C, now that's very cold, brrrr.
Snap Sandra! I had a similar run this morning and absolutely loved it too! Super careful and slow, but as you say, easier than the mud of last week. ππ»
I hope youβre ok after your tumble though! And I hope no one saw!
No one saw me but the funny thing is that the reason I was distracted by my phone was that I had accidentally knocked it on to video...so I have a two second clip of me falling over!!!π³π€£π€£ I canβt tell you how funny my 20 and 16 year old sons found it when I showed it to them!π€£π€£π€£
Glad you had fun out there too Cheeky - so beautiful!βοΈ
Oh isnβt that beautiful. No snow for us but we got nice sunny walks in yesterday and today. Hoping for a nice run tomorrow, but Iβm on red wine right now. Will I want to run tomorrow?
