Welcome to week 2’s Quest intrepid Questers! Full credit to Mummycav for this week’s puntastic title!!!
How’s your week been? Are you starting to total up some ticks or are you getting ready to take off this week? With all the wind, many of might be literally taking off as we run!! Stay safe all.
The weather this time of year is always a challenge but Storm Darragh is wreaking extra havoc . My quest feels a bit off track but that’s ok. Sometimes we all need a bit of enforced recovery time! Instead of running, I’ve done some yoga and Pilates which will help with the running. Swings and roundabouts! Looking at my official goals, I ran three times instead of four. I’ve managed two strength sessions. I haven’t bought new trainers yet. I’ll see what Father Christmas brings me because I’ve been dropping strong hints and being a (sort of) very good girl. My goals will stay the same this week, except I’ll swap new trainers for booking a half marathon in spring at a suitable point on my training plan. I like having smaller events on the way to big events to help stay on track Exeter is the current leader of the possible contenders.
So here are my goals…
❄️ Four runs a week from training plan
❄️ Two strength sessions a week
❄️ Book half marathon
How has it been for you? It’s never too late to join so anyone tempted to join us, jump in below and you’ll be made very welcome.
So, come and share your highs and lows and your plans for this week! Can’t wait to hear from you!

For any newbies, here’s an introduction to the Quest…
The aim of the Quest is to help you find a focus or goal that you would like to achieve by the end of the Quest period.
The Quest takes one calendar month. You can join at any point during that time.
You need to be a C25K Graduate before joining the Quest. The reason for this is that pre-graduation your week is very much structured, according to the C25K programme, and I wouldn't want the Quest to interfere with that.
Most popular goals are:
★ To run three times a week
★ To slowly increase distance
★ To train for a specific race
★ To add strength and flex exercises to your weekly routine
This is a personal challenge, so it's completely up to you! If you want to join, all you have to do is comment below with something like: “I would like to join the quest”, or, “count me in! I would like to...”
Any questions, just ask! Come and say hi, we want to know what you're aiming for!
