Like so many others on here, I have been finding it hard to get my running mojo recently - grey skies, short days, home schooling, lockdown. The list goes on. My runs gave felt like trudging through syrup and I have been getting stuck at TV the 20 minute mark.
Yesterday I had planned to run early afternoon but when I got back from the supermarket at midday, the weather was so grim that I thought I'd give it a miss. After lunch however I was feeling lathargic and I knew that it was either force myself out for a run or waste the afternoon doing almost nothing.
Running gear on and off I went. And so glad that I did, the sun came out and felt warm on my face ☀️☀️ and I completed 30 minutes! It felt so good.
Knowing that keeping my motivation during these short lockdown days is going to be tough, I have now signed up to run 30 miles during Feb in support of the Anthony Nolan Trust.
Keep going you lovely bunch! We can get through this and into those lovely spring runs with our sanity in tact 😁
