Hi everyone, didnt post my last run on sun, don't want to bore you all π€£ did 7k then, and today, and happy to get past my 50km total, will see what i'm at, come 31st jan π€ pretty much same sort of pace atm, last night, i was looking back at some of our first posts, on c25k, and how far we've all come π¦, and still getting such a buzz, from this running lark! βΊ
50 km achieved so far! π: Hi everyone, didnt... - Bridge to 10K
50 km achieved so far! π
Wow, youβve done 50K already! I had a quick tally and Iβve only done 35 k! Thatβs brilliant, well done ππππ
Well done that man!- you're certainly knocking those 'K's' off pretty fast- well doneπ
Thanks, been lucky with the weather down here. βΊ
Wish I was up to doing 7k each time I went for a run- I've challenged myself to do 35 miles on Race at your pace this month (did 28 in December) - but it's looking dicey atm!- good on you for getting through the 'K's'
56km will be a good total, i'm not at work right now, so have loads of time to run. The first few km's of my runs, are still quite hard work π₯΅ and dont really have any hills to climb either! π€£
I only do one 5-6k a week and two shorter 30 minute runs- went out today in horrid mist rain and wind and was SO much slower than the 6k I did on sunday. I'll get there whenever, just hope i can get the 56k done this monthπ₯΄
Well, just going out in that rain/wind today, is good, i remember a run like that, and could barely see where i was going! π€£ apart from one major soaking i got, i've been lucky with the weather, from the start of c25k.
Decided to go out in that weather today because since 'lockdown' began, my run route has been packed with people I've never seen before in my life!!!!- not a soul to be seen today in that weather π
I know what you mean, keeps them inside, i was having to do alot of people dodging along canal on sundays run, some who are very put out that we run past them!!! π€£
Tell me about it!- haven't seen ANY of them at all on the route in the past 6 months and I run and walk along there on a daily basis, and no-one will stand aside on the extra wide pathway so I have to run out in the road. Hey ho, the 'human condition' - very worrying! π€
This lockdown bringing them all out, it's ironic for me, as i was only walking, during last summers lockdown, quite often along the canal, where i'm now running, but i was always polite, and friendly with the runners! π€£
Exactly the same for me- walking all year where I now run, and I always stood aside for runners and waved out to them - and the runners were always so thankful . Nobody EVER stands aside for me when I'm running - I just get a look of abject 'defiance' that says "I ain't movin for no-one" π€
What can we do! π€·ββοΈYou must have started c25k, about same time as me, I was 7th sept. π€
Yes I was around that date too- but you are doing way more mileage than me now- and faster, tooπβΉοΈ
Brilliant effort 50k and not even half way through the month. Have you set a target or waiting for a wonderful surprise. Imagine all that distance at this time of the year, fantastic. Happy running π€
Thanks, well the target was 50k, so will push on through rest of jan, see where i get to. π€
I challenge you to 100k, as you've reached 10k previously as long as the snow and ice hold off you can do it πββοΈ try, I know it's hard, to go slower at the start.
Accepted, 100k it is then!!! π
Oops, sorry. I'm in this with you. I've reached 100k for the last 11 months so this is an important one for me. Let's go carefully
We can do this!!! π Reminds me of Laura, talking to me on c25k. π€£
Amazing! You've done it and we're not even half way through Jan π₯π¦π₯π¦ That is really impressive and you should feel so proud. Some serious running km's achieved so far..I am looking forward to see what your end of month total is going to be! As you say, think about where we were through C25K and all those little milestones that felt like mammoth hurdles at the time, and now THIS πͺπͺ I am going to check Strava now to see how many km's I've done so far π€£this is a good game! The 5km I thrashed out this morning was very much a maintenance run and a case of getting out there and getting it done.
Is that 50k already?! Great going Peter πͺπ» and post as many runs as you like, we all enjoy seeing people doing so well ππ»
Thatβs great to have got to 50k already, youβre really into it now-when I look back at the first posts I can believe how far weβve come and that we didnβt really start following each other until the dreaded week 5 run 3- so weβve definitely done well! I need to get out tomorrow for a run !
Oh yes, the lovely w5r3 π₯΅ i think that's when you think, yes, i can do this! πͺHow are you feeling now, back at work? π€
Very well done. I am trying to do 5K everyday for January, and I am walking one day running the next. Walking as fast as I can I am around 44 minutes and running I am aiming for 30-32 minutes. I am aiming to do 155K by the end of the month. I have 51 k done so far and will do my run this evening. But you have ran 50K, that is fantastic. You are right we have come a long way since starting C25K.
Damien
Thanks Damien, that's a fast pace, for your 5k walks, i've actualy been walking too, in between run days, although i missed saturdays walk, went to sainsburys, but cant really count that π€£ 155k will be a great total, i've stopped using strava for my walks atm, as it automaticaly adds to my pan can total, and wanted it to be just running.
Well done on your run today. Only done 2x 5 k this week frosty and icy here. Good luck on your 100k challengex
Omg 50km this month already that is incredible, well done. Great run
Thanks, how are you feeling now? π€
Still very fatigued. I am an expert in doing nothing now!! I was always on the go so feels very strange. I am enjoying the afternoon TV!! Hopefully will be feeling better soon. Compared to others am very lucky. Hope your mum is keeping well. Take care
I've turned into a teenager again, getting up later, and later, and still up at silly times, in the night! π€£Maybe your body will thank you, for this rest π€ my mum had her first vacine jab yesterday, which was good news. π
Well done! Fantastic that you have already reached your goal! ππ»π
Amazing - well done! That's about double mine! πππ
Well done on your distance and the completing challenge π
Brilliant well done with your km's
Mega! And now on a VRB challenge, I see!
Wow that's amazing! Very well done to you ππππͺ do you have a specific target for this month?
Thanks, will see how close to 100km i can get, weather looking better for fri/sun so might rest again today, just heard about heavy snow in scotland!
Wow, at this rate you'll have no trouble hitting 100k as long as the weather holds π€ here in SE England it's just rain, rain and more rain π§οΈπ§οΈ I'm glad I went out yesterday when it was just a nice drizzle, it's been horrid today. Good luck with it π€ππͺ
Same here π§π§ we're north london, hope your foot is ok, i sometimes get a bit of PF, not too bad though, i see your training for HM, hope to get there too. π€
My foot seems to be holding up thanks βΊοΈ it's not too bad but I'm quite cautious when it comes to potential injuries! I'm hoping to get back to my HM training soon but I'll have to take it slowly, I don't think I can run every other day like you doπππ good luck building up to HM, I'm sure you'll get there ππͺπ
