Got there in the end! 10k 🥵

Well, my 11am run, ended up a 13.30 run, was waiting for my daughter! 🤣 was just going to see how it went, although was thinking of a longer one, and set nrc to 10k, could always stop, and wasnt sure if daughter, could keep going for 10k, her longest was 8k before today. Anyway, of we went, usual route past harry potter, and i was feeling it today, dont think i drunk enough water yesterday 🤔 and was thinking, maybe just 5k, but was also thinking, no, come on, keep going! 🤣 i even said to my daughter, she could stop, if she wanted, but we went past bottom of our lane, and onto the canal, 5/6/7k, started to get easier, no way were we stopping now, onto that 10k, even with a smallish hill to climb, in the end, not sure who was dragging who along! 🤣

Finished 1.18.30, average pace 7.50/km, about 2 mins faster than previous 10k, so happy, but a little tired!!!

Woohoo! Now I see what you mean about it being a day for 10k’s 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻 Nice one and shaving 2mins off your last 10k time is just great and shows progress is being made! Well done to you and your daughter. Looks like we both had the same thoughts on distance today.. that 5k mark, it’s always a moment.. do I stick or go for it 🤔 Bet you’re glad you went for it now! I think we’re realising we have more in the tank now than the hallowed 5k and it’s food to push it when we can. Legs aching here too tonight. I’m not moving far from the sofa either after my efforts today, we’ve earned an easy night in 😊

My daughter came out in my first two runs of Week 1. She was 6 at the time so I knew she wouldn’t be doing many runs with me. But it was lovely she started my C25K journey with me. Brill you have another 10K in the bag! 😀👍🏻
