Running on Christmas morning - who'd have thought it!

Certainly not me if you had asked me 6 months ago! Had no real intention of running today - thought Boxing Day was more realistic. However the cat woke me just after 6 and by 6.30 I had decided to go. So glad that I did 😁 The last of the stars were still out when I set off followed by the most glorious sunrise (haven't yet mastered taking photos and running - too much coordination involved 😂) Just an easy short run but felt so good even when I stepped into an icy frozen puddle. And to top it off, I managed a steady pace throughout - big achievement for me 🎖️

I went out as well and a lovely bright morning and 5k. Roads really quiet and saw others running as well. Never thought I would be motivated to get out there but glad I did.

My cat happily spent Christmas day over-indulging on Dreamies and turkey 🐱 Funnily enough, no early start for her this morning 😁
