First 11k run....

Since finishing the magic plan three weeks or so ago, I have been out running each week but hadn’t really done a run beyond 7km. Today however, with a day off work i decided it was time for a longer run, so set off with 10k in mind. First 1-2km’s were hard mainly because I felt very stiff in my hips (too much sitting) but by 3km all felt good. Settled into a steady pace and by 10km felt like i could add that extra 10% to make it my first 11km, so pushed on to 11k in 71mins, which I am quite happy with, especially as the splits are quite consistent. That means I have now clocked up 22km in four days as I ran on both Saturday (7k) and Sunday (4K), didn’t plan to run on both days but my wife wanted some company on her run on Sunday. What between 22km and an hours yoga last night I think I will take the rest of the week off.....I certainly know I have event that bar of chocolate as a treat now !!!

Expect lots of future milestones too, you are a fast consistent runner and just need to decide your future goals - speed, distance, monthly targets. You can do it 🙆🏼‍♀️

Thanks. You are right I should think about my next goal as it was 10k, will aim for 15k next I think ! Then se where I go !

If you’re going for 15 - stretch to 16.1, that gives you the lovely shiny 10 mile badge on the marathon forum 🤣🤗
