A rather muddy 7k today . . .

Hello fellow runners, I'm afraid I haven't posted much here lately although I have been looking in occasionally to read what everybody's been doing . Since I retired life has been really busy, the old cliché about not knowing how you had time to work is really true! Anyway today I headed out for what I planned to be a 5k, it was damp, drizzling and cold but I pushed myself out the door. I stuck to the paths at our local country park, mainly because I'm fed up with what seems to be after every run recently cleaning shoes and all my running gear. My mistake was taking a new path which after a short distance petered out and turned into a very muddy track down the side of a field. Needless to say I ended more muddy than ever but on a positive note I did end up doing 7k, a bit more than I planned when I set out😃 Have a great running weekend everybody 🏃‍♂️🏃‍♀️ 😃

Mud mud glorious mud. I’m finding every run or walk ends with scrubbing footwear but how wonderful, you beat the conditions and completed an unexpected 7k, fantastic effort. Happy running 🤗

Yes its pretty messy out there at the moment, the alternative is to stick to a "round the streets" or local park route but I do really enjoy getting out in the countryside for my runs.
