Hoping someone could reccomend some good winter running shoes, not for trails but just to give extra grip on cold and potentially icy pavements. I love my Nikes but know that they soon won't be up to the job as the cold weather set in.
What does everyone use?

I’ve used trail shoes for this since I started running in 2018 (that winter was cold, not much call for them in the past year or so). The grip isn’t too aggressive on the ones I have (ASICS Gel Venture 6) so they’re fine on pavements and more secure on frost or fresh snow than my road shoes. I wouldn’t run when it’s properly icy though (e.g. when snow melts and then re-freezes overnight).
