Week Two, Second Run of Ju-Ju’s Running Plan.

I had a lovely steady 6k run today. Changed my Music, (Take That Odyssey) and changed my route to mix things up a bit. I decided I wanted to run at a steady, slower pace. I did not look at my watch till I was 5k in and enjoyed the run so much more not worrying about the timings and also running a bit slower. I ran 6k in 39 minutes, which I was happy with. I still have a little niggle on my left knee but not hurting if you know what I mean! Looking forward to my next run on Friday.

It's good not to watch the watch' sometimes 😁

Your 6k pace was around my first 5k pace 🤣

And yes I know what you mean about a niggly knee, although mine has been Ok on my last 2 runs 👍

Yes it really does make such a difference. I am trying to pace myself better now thinking about getting up to 10k.

Glad your knee is OK, I couldn’t imagine not having running in my life now so hope the knee holds up!!

I hope you have had a lovely day and you enjoy your next run. Oh I ran in my new leggings today they have a leg pocket for your phone made such a difference brilliant not having to hold phone!

Glad you like your new leggings! When I bought my running tights, the description was that it had a zipped pocket at the back. Well. It does, but it’s not big enough to hold my phone. I have to take a running belt and put it in that.

I missed my Tuesday run this week. First time I’ve missed one, but going to try and get out tomorrow! 😀

Thank you! I sent the camo ones back. I really love them to look at but didn’t feel they were me when I tried them on.

Another good run, both distance and time wise. Your increasing your distance nicely and it’s great that your enjoying it too, without putting pressure on yourself, well done 👍 🏃‍♀️

Thank you Couchphoenix. I could never believe looking back at being so out of breath and exhausted after running 90 seconds to feeling so much joy when out running. It really is so amazing so glad I have found running and this forum so inspiring and supportive.

Glad you enjoyed your run🏃You are right, running without time and distance reminders is very satisfying on longer runs, us that what they call 'running naked?', read it somewhere😂

Bought some new leggings the other day and noticed some with side pocket but was worried my phone might fall out, is it quite secure?

Lol yes so much more enjoyable.

Yes they are brilliant, phone is held securely in place, does not move and works well with non wireless headphones.

I’m on Week 2 also, but doing the timed version as my graduation distance was 3.3km.

It’s good to just go out and jog along...keeping it slow and steady.

Just noticed you did your 6km in 39 minutes...my long Run Tuesday was 39 minutes...I covered 4km 😂

Oh I need a plan ...I’d spend forever putting things off otherwise 🙄 Luckily I’m not a fast runner, so once I’ve completed the Plan for time...I can probably redo it for distance 😂

I did my 15 minute run today. Start week 3 Sunday with 30 minutes.
