Today, I was still βRunning On Emptyβ, but not soar. My trusty Nike App had just the right motivations to get me through it ππ½. There was nothing spectacular about it , but it was good to be outdoors π³.
Position 236 in LEJOG and Iβve covered just over 358 miles now. Happy to be resting at the βVIP Groupβ on the LEJOG Map πΊ π¬π§ππ½ββοΈ...π!
I just have to work out a way to commit to quit at a reasonable time and get a walk πΆπ½ββοΈ/ run ππ½ββοΈ in each day. Not for the step count, but I really need to do that for general well-being. Work is not likely to slow down for quite a while. So, I need to reorganise my mindset π¦Ύ as the fresh air does give you the headspace needed ππ½ββοΈ.
I made it through the week and itβs gonna get better!! Come on Sgt Major Garmin...Jeff & The Commitments...weβve got work to do!! πββοΈπ πΌ ...π€ ππ½ββοΈ
Happy running Runners! β€οΈ

Sounds like you are doing a lot of juggling at the moment Fabulous. Itβs crucial to get the balance between work and time for ourselves right but itβs never easy I know. It sounds to me like you are on the right side of it all. Adapting with a little flexibility goes a long way to preserving our sanity and the status quo.
Great progress on the map. VIP group! Wow! I didnβt know they had such a thing and so impressed you are amongst it. Go girl! Sgt Major Garmin must be proud.
Rest day for me today means a long dog walk across the fields: wellies are at the door waiting.
No, itβs not a LEJOG VIP Group! π³ (I wouldnβt qualify...π!), itβs where I am on the LEJOG map (see photo π). I had better edit my post to make that bit clearer π³...ππ!
I really want to walk on my rest days too. Silly really, as a 20 minute walk to end the day should be so easy to do. Some adjustments to the work life balance are certainly needed. I think I might have to set myself a little challenge to do that this week! Enjoy the walk ! Letβs keep going!! π¬π§π¦Ύβ€οΈ
Thanks so much!! π€ Iβm locked down too! π!! What an experience this year has been. It took 8 months to get through 6 stages and Iβve only been working a month. Except for only one day when I had to travel into work to get my IT equipment sorted, I have not seen one person in the flesh!
Itβs probably going to be that way for a quite a while though. So, I have a bit of time to get my routine and boundaries set! πβ€οΈ
You certainly donβt have time to get bored do you Fab450?! I canβt keep up! Iβm glad Sgt Garmin is still doing his bit - for some reason I told his civilian counterpart Mr Garmin that he could discard my run this morning instead of saving it. So he did! Rats! Canβt believe how well youβre doing on LEJOG- huge well done and clapping of hands to spur you on!
Ah thanks so much Oldgirlruns!! π€ If winter was going to be my norm, Iβd already be in running hibernation. So, true to every aspect of this year, norm is simply not in fashion!! π
I see Mr Garmin is a lot more civil! Discard a run?...far too accommodating! π² That must have been a bit frustrating!
I can feel Sgt Major eyes on me when Iβm sat down and itβs yet another long day. I get the πββοΈ...π€¨...π...so I do know itβs got to happen! πβ€οΈ
Yes, I totally agree. I really donβt mind getting there slowly. If I get a bit of fresh air each day, Iβll be very happy indeed. Onwards we go!! πβ€οΈ
We have had to ease up a bit because we realised we are coming home achy on the long runs and then donβt go for a while so winter plan is no plan just 30 minutes as often as we can
Ah thanks Mummycav!! π€ Iβd say itβs more of a protest at the moment. π I will have my time to run!! I have had to rearrange the long run that was meant for today and do drills instead. Thereβs no way I would have time for the 6 mile run today βΊοΈ! Thatβs a weekend run for sure! π Keep going...we can do it!! β€οΈ
