Getting better

4th recovery run, 2nd one hour session, managed all the run sections without stopping but the last ‘yomp’ up the steep hill beat me and had to have a breather! At least my hip seems to be OK, need to shed a few pounds and get fitter, overall though happy with the run. Here’s Tia at the end of the run next to our old VW, she’s called ‘Endeavour’ as in she will endeavour to get us to our destination, I thought that was an apt way to finish!!

Very well done!👍🏻😄

“Steep hill” & “needing a breather” sound a very sensible combination to me.

Tia looks ready to do it all again! 😄

At the moment I am alternating between running and walking so as not to put too much strain on my hip but around here it is really hilly so even walking quickly up hill is good exercise xx

I’m wondering whether I should do that.. obviously with a dog we have to walk daily anyway and I usually walk somewhere between 3km and 7km on the days I don’t run.. I have to plan for runs on level ground or I can’t do it at all, but our walks are often very hilly and I’ve found since doing couchto5k that walking up the hills is a lot easier than it used to be..😊

I don’t really have a choice as unless I drive to Bournemouth (about 10 miles) and run along the prom I always have hills so when I was running continually I had to run up a bit then down as otherwise I ran out of steam! I’m really slow as well!

Great looking van PHdgranny and Tia looks a dream of a dog. Another great run and no pain, great to hear 🤗

Thanks Mrs J, it was tough today because of the hills but I really enjoyed it 😊
