I am coming to the end of C25K and want to have a plan in place for next week. I have had a look at the Garmin/Strava watches and they might find their way onto a Christmas present list.
For now is there a simple countdown watch that I can set to beep after an allotted time. There seem to be a few for sale but they look either complicated or not really robust enough. I want a countdown watch that is simple to set, with a loud beep, strong and cheap

Decathlon have simple stop watches, cheap and cheerful and robust. Or you could pop along to eBay and buy a second hand Garmin Forerunner 15 for about £20. That's what I did 3.5 years ago. It was a great watch. Proper running watch, pace, time, distance, GPS, Links to Strava. I upgraded then after a couple of years to a Forerunner 35 because it was smaller and had bluetooth. I'd buy a Forerunner 15 from eBay, proper running watch for the same price as a new cheep stopwatch.
Sorry should have said, I don't get on running with my phone, lumpy also it is set up for work and running is a work free enviroment
I want something a lot simpler than is generally available. I have just found a kitchen timer designed to be carried around, so that is looking like it will work for now, until I have an idea of exactly what I need
