Post covid run 1

Got a call from NHS test and trace yesterday to say I’m allowed out from Monday (it’s actually Tuesday but didnt argue πŸ˜†).

So first post covid isolation run was earlier today. All I could manage was 3.6k in about 25 minutes, my thighs have notably taken a hit from nearly 3 weeks of not leaving the house.

I could really feel muscles that have been idle for that time complaining bitterly!

It’s going to take me a while to consider trying one of the 10k plans, but they can wait.

Just happy to get back out - it really did feel odd actually leaving the house!

Fantastic, delighted that you got out of the house and out for a run. Wishing you a nice steady return to your running form.

Congratulations! Three weeks stuck at home are bound to take their toll on your muscles but you managed a decent distance even then! I'm sure you'll be back on top form before you know it πŸ’ͺ

Great you a allowed to go out now. Don't worry once you've ran a few times your legs will forget all about the break in your running. Good luck 😊
