I’ve been getting cabin fever with this dreadful weather. Rain I can handle but rain and gale force winds together are too much for me. But eventually it stopped raining and the wind died down and I ventured out. I have no head torch so I was watching the ground for slippery leaves and fallen branches as I went so no great speeds were reached. In fact I think I was 4 minutes slower than my very first 5k ever.😩. But I got out there. And did my run so I was pleased.
I definitely don’t run as fast or as easily once I’ve eaten anything, no matter how long I leave afterwards. But I couldn’t miss another day’s running. And I feel much better now that I have been out there.
I’ve been reading all the posts from the runners who have done their VLM today and felt really proud to be part of the running community. You should all be really proud of battling rain, wind and tech failures and still completing your marathons. 👏👏🏃♀️🏃♂️🥂🍻🍷🥃
