Woohooo another 60 minutes and another 5 k under my belt

After Saturdays run I was beginningvthink that my first 60 minute run 3 weeks ago was a fluke!! But got up early this morning and went for my run using my original short run route as it’s all fairly flat. Went really really slowly 🐢🐢🐢and paced myself a bit. Finally got another 60 minute run done and another 5 k done. Feel much better about Race for Life on Saturday. Will do another short run on Wednesday or Thursday am and bite the bullet on Saturday. 😛😛😛

I did a couple in my younger days. They're a lot of fun and there's a lovely atmosphere. Enjoy!

Fantastic stuff Scruff! Keep going 😊🌟

Thanks so much. I actually felt I could have gone further this morning but I’d already gone round the route twice🤣🤣🤣

You can set ur own goal remember - it doesnt have to be the whole route. Somebody said they were doing it in 6 months 😱. I will be doing it in 12!

That’s so good! Well done 👍 I just about manage 30 minutes but seem to be getting worse by the day! I find it such a slog and I really can’t imagine ever being able to run for 60 minutes! Reading your achievements makes me feel that it is possible so thank you for that. Good luck on Saturday 😊

Thank you. In March this year I was struggling to run for 20 minutes but I just kept going out there doing 20 minutes of running I found it so so hard. But then I said to myself you can do this. I used W9R3 run 3 for a few weeks and also did Jog Run Sprint (JRS) a few times just to break it up. I found that really hard but the gremlins didn’t seem to like JRS and I felt the change did me good. So keep going you are doing really amazingly well and if you can get the gremlins out of your head It will be so much easier Good luck and keep going 👍👍👍🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️

Thanks Scruff, you’re right about those gremlins! Mine tell me how heavy my legs are and how exhausted I am! I will keep working on that. I’m currently repeating run 3 of week 9 to the dulcet tones of Laura who tells me I’ve run for 5 minutes when I’m convinced I’ve done 30 🤣. I’m limited by what I can put on my iPod as it’s ancient but will look into the JRS you mention. I am getting bored as I do the same route daily so a mix and a change of scenery might do me good! Thanks for your encouragement, it really does help 😊👍 🏃‍♀️
