Well, the fun has most certainly returned with a vengeance!!....And itβs so nice to be experiencing it. I almost have to pinch myself π.
I have fallen in love with Sgt Garmin ππΌ (and he very secretly, loves me too!ππΌ...π³..π€«).
I have completed 4 weeks of my 15 week 10k plan yesterday and Iβm out running 3 times a week, doing drills and a long run, (the long run takes about an hour, with Jeffβs run/walk plan and I love it! π)!
I have just entered yesterdayβs mileage and Iβm now over 127 miles on the LEJOG4 Tour π¬π§ and in position 339 π± (For now!..π). Iβve been running with my back up band of Commitments π΅ πΆ in a very sweet melody! I do 5 minutes of HIIT every morning, Iβve reached what would have seemed a crazy step goal, almost every day and after looking π and realising that Iβm too close not to be inspired π², Iβve even run around the house late in the evening for a bit to make sure that I do π. I havenβt missed a day in my plan either (even though Sgt Garmin would let me reschedule ππΌ...π...π³...π€«).
I received my 100 miles postcard this week and I now think I might be able to go all the way!! π€...π²...π€...Did I just say that?...Yes, Iβve left LE behind now and I might just get to JOG! π¬π§π¦Ύππ½ββοΈπ
Thank you ALL for the constant encouragement with your own amazing and inspiring running posts and the support to keep on running!!
And a P.S. I have secured the most amazing job in the world this week too!! What a week of personal wins!!π π₯π
So happy! π₯ πΎ

Possibly the most upbeat and happy post ever Fab! What a joy to read! π₯°ππ
Youβre on a roll! I love your enthusiam and I love how youβve embraced (you wish!) Sgt Garmin in the process! β€οΈ Heβs putting you through your paces, and your paces have you well and truly on your way to JOG! And a new job? Whaaat? Life is good for you Fab! πππ
Iβm on 141 miles, so weβre not far apart at all. Fancy a coffee at Sedgemoor Services on the M5?! βοΈ
Keep having a blast and keep telling us all about it. ππ
Thanks so much RunaroundSue!! π€ Iβm sure Iβll have fun getting wherever there may be! The closer I get, the more it seems possible. Itβs truly has been wonderful! β€οΈ
What a great post - you are absolutely flying!!! Congratulations on the new job - you sound so happy I bet you did a fantastic interview. Good luck with it.
Thanks so much Fionamags!! π€ I applied for this job in February and it was then put on hold. Started up again in early August. There has been 7 stages of interviews and assessments and...they chose me π! So amazingly, absolutely fabulous!! ππ€β€οΈ
Where! Brilliant running and job news, Fab! ππΎππ You are just going from strength to strength and certainly following your dreams and having fun too! Best of luck when you start your new job. X
Iβll be in the beautiful Kingston Upon Thames! I seem to be drawn to places near the water! Guernsey and now Kingston!!! So lucky!! π
What an amazing year this is turning out to be. I have a daily notification on my phone that says βthis is the best year yetβ! And to be honest...it might easily have been deleted βΊοΈ, but I could not help but think π ...possibly...thereβs still time! And...π§π½ββοΈ...here we are!! I think I might just have cracked it. I hope to look at that notification on the 31st December and say, βabsolutelyβ!
And as the days pass by, Iβll be making my way North too on LEJOG!! π¬π§πβ€οΈ
Hey Slinkymalinki!! π That would be great. Youβre on for a social distance jog. It will be a while before I move as my son is doing his Aβ Levels, so we might even get to have a normal jog ππ!
2020 will definitely be a weird one. The year we have really had to make decisions about how we live and what is really important to us. And whilst everyone has not thought the same, running has been a great way to keep on going with only hope...regardless!
I saw on my NRC App that I had my fastest 10k in February this year and I donβt even remember doing it π³, but Iβll have it. I hope to have more of that too! πβ€οΈ
Oh that's good - time is on our side! It gives me time to get rid of this annoying plantar fasciitis. I'm only running once a week at the moment as I'm on my feet all day but doing some strength & HIIT at home to banish the lockdown pounds!π€£ Well done for your fastest 10k, my aim is to get back up to 10k again. My son is a bit behind yours - he's just turned 16 & in Yr 11 doing GCSEs this year. Let's hope that everything works out well for them both! π€
Yes, Iβm really hoping for the best for the kids. This is my sonβs final year and heβs heart is set on Uni, so Iβm hoping that he is able to get to go where he would like, doing what heβs dreaming off. Though, I will miss him so much! π₯΄ Theyβre both so supportive of my running. And theyβve been a massive inspiration too. I dare not go out with them mind. Far too athletic! βπ½ π€£ But, myself and my youngest have done a charity 5k run for Prospect Hospice together. Such a great experience to have him waiting for me at the finish line! Makes me well up just thinking about it! π β€οΈ
Fabulous fun post so glad youβre enjoying it all, youβre now just a head of me Iβm at 125miles so weβre clearly we are running buddies at the momentπππ»ββοΈππ»ββοΈlots of virtual tea and cakes are along this LEJOG04 route taking place.
What a happy report to read first thing in the morning!! Congratulations on ALL your achievements this week. I think I need a sgt Garmin!! I should see what is available on my device but I think itβs more basic - although I often see posts here (about VO2 for example) and realise Iβve had that all the time! π€·ββοΈ You can soon move up the leaderboard too as Iβve done 159 miles and Iβm 221! You donβt feel far behind and Iβve a busy childcare week ahead.
Sgt Garmin and the daily step goals has made a big difference. You just canβt hide from him ππ½ββοΈ...π€¨...! Heβs quick to tell you to move and he adds more steps required quickly too!! Too quick...π, but I definitely feel an improvement in my fitness.
I definitely hope to meet you at JOGβs!! And Iβll still be enjoying celebrating my VRBs getting there from my own spot on the map too! πβ€οΈ
Fantastic Fabulous! Congratulations on your new job - what a long process from February! It sounds like all in your world is good and rosy with your runs going brilliantly too, enjoy ππ€!
Yes, I was meant to have the first stage interview on the 6th April, but everything was put on hold due to lockdown. It then restarted at the beginning of August, which I was pleased about, as I was never really sure that they were going to proceed. So itβs all pretty fantastic really!! πβ€οΈ
Ah thanks so much David_G! π€π€ Not just Lands End to John O Groats π¬π§, but it really feels like it has opened up a very new running world for me π ππ½ββοΈ!
π±.... π....I think Iβm definitely gonna get lapped!! π€£π€£π€£! But I donβt mind and Iβll wave as you pass by! ππ½ π¨ π¨π¬π§
Seriously though...itβs been great fun!! Iβm sure youβll love it! πβ€οΈ
π±π±...second thoughts...Sgt Garmin doesnβt need any help! ππ½ββοΈπ£π£π£...π !.....
Just lap away! π€£π€£! β€οΈ
How absolutely brilliant! Wow, you know...I like to think good things happen to good people and what a time you are having. Massive congratulations with the job too. Keep smiling, keep going and keep being you π
So, Iβve decided to just rest, relax, run & read (maybe just a little DIY), but basically have this time freely just enjoying every day, knowing thereβs lots of amazing things to look forward to too! ππ½
I shall certainly be having some fun as I keep on going!! π¬π§ππ½ββοΈ ππ½ββοΈππ§πΌββοΈ...π§π½ββοΈ
