Help and advice on knee pain

For some time now I've been suffering LKP (lateral knee pain). This morning I went out for my usual medium run. After about two kilometres the pain started. Along with the pain was a numbness in most of my right leg. Walking on, the pain went, but unable to continue running. I've recently done three 10k runs and around the 5k mark the pain would come ,but continuing to run it died down and I was able to continue. Not today, too severe. Has anyone got any advice please.

My advice is to see a sports physio. You dont want this pain to turn into a longer term injury. It could be something as simple as a tight IT band, however if you chase self diagnosis it may prolong the time to fix it. Take care 🤗
