Toughest run to date π I definitely think I need to take a few dayβs rest before Week 3! Itβs also much warmer than I thought so I instantly regretted wearing a compression t-shirt and jacket! Sweated absolute buckets!
As I was going further (even though Iβve done this distance before) I eased off the gas β½οΈ with the additional aim to stay sub 6 minutes per km. Mainly because I really do want to keep hitting a sub 30 minute 5K as I progress - even if itβs not a PB!
5K - sub 30 minutes β πͺ
Next week all the distances of each three individual runs increase so I do think a two day rest period will be on the cards at some point .... although, I always say that π
Happy running all! πββοΈ

I love your drive and commitment and enthusiasm. You should be fine going into next week.
Take the longer run much slower as eventually this will really help you go faster if that is what you're after. You should feel relaxed and at ease in almost all runs so the programme should feel quite straightforward. My fastest 5k is 23.37 and certainly what helped was longer slower runs. I don't want you to burn out going like the clappers.
You've got natural speed and ability in bucket loads, so go steady when you can and then push it when you feel good.
Thanks ππ» GTFC. Yes, I will be following your advice and going much slower as I go further for the longer runs in the plan. Iβd like to keep this pace for the 5K and under runs though so I will play around with my playlists to find good BPMβs πΆ
