Taking it easier is better CBDB. I'm definitely not going to rank up the distances then end up injured.
Just enjoy being part of LEJOG and in a years time or however long it takes us we can be so proud of that tshirt and medal.
Good luck πββοΈπͺ
I read a great articla about a woman that came last at 24 marathons. She said it was fab as she got all the leftover food and gifts. plus it means that she run at least 24 marathons!!
If I remember correctly author Lisa Jackson (Your pace or mine?) run in over a hundred marathon including ultras and most of the times is at the end of the pack. But she ran over 100 marathons, had amazing experiences and loves running. I'm a slow runner too and I don't care about times but about strength and freedom.

Great effort, speed is totally unimportant, how many people do you know who attempt to run end to end. Happy running π€

It looks so exciting being part of this

I love seeing your runlejog4 posts - thank you so much for sharing your journey with us! I am in awe of your courage to take part in the first place and who cares about times anyway, you are taking part and that is all that matters. I hope one day I can be as courageous as you and commit to something similar π
βΊοΈπ Thank you! Theyβre such fun to make, so am glad I am glad to see that Iβm not the only one enjoying them! π¨ πΌ
For me, it makes the journey even more engaging and yes, it forces me that little bit more to honour my commitment to keep on running!
At the moment that is actually not hard, as I canβt wait to get out for the next run! But come my first runner winter βοΈ, cold π₯Ά, mud and rain π§... vs warm homes π₯ πΊ π who knows... I might need RunLeJog4 to really keep me going!
I started c25k in Feb (broke my ribs March so had to take a break) but i liked running in the blanket of darkness as I felt less self conscious. Feb also brought wind, sleet and snow but TBH I found it really refreshing to run in. I have invested in a waterproof breathable jacket though so I'm better prepared this time round.
Please keep the posts coming and good luck π
