B210K - W1R3

5.5K target

165 BPM playlist

A comfortable 5.5K run today for the last run of Week 1 of @Ju-Ju-‘s Magic 10K Plan.

After experimenting with all the C25K+ Stepping Stone podcasts since graduating at the end of July I have decided that moving forwards I am going to use a minimum 165BPM playlist as my base pace.

Even though I am going to be gradually increasing my distance as the programme evolves I know that I will be disappointed if I don’t manage a sub 30 minute 5K for every run that includes/goes beyond a 5K. I also know now that a slower BPM will not help me to achieve this - personally.

Once the 5K sub 30 minutes is achieved in a run I will decide whether to ease off of the gas or keep pushing on at the pace for the longer distance - after listening to my body.

Today’s breakdown:

2.5K - 13:27 ✅

5K - 29:44 ✅

5.5K - 32:49 ✅

Not a 5K PB but sub 30 minutes so I’m happy 😃 I think I will push for 5K PB’s when the run target is 5K 🤔

Anywho, just emptying my thoughts as per.

Happy running all! 🏃‍♂️

Thanks 🙏🏻 Hareshaw-Granny 🏃‍♂️

You are doing great! Awesome times there. As you go on though it will be slowing down that makes you run faster. I'd still do a quick one if you enjoy those but as the runs extend you may be interested in longer slower runs or heart rate training.

Fantastic times and great targets. Do allow yourself to take the foot off the break occasionally, remember not every run is at race pace. Happy running 🤗
