Magic Plan W4 R2 (mixing it up a bit!)

Working later today, so spied the opportunity to go out for a run. As I've had 2 rest days since my 7k run on Saturday, I decided to do the 5k run today and the 4k run (Run 1) on Thursday evening.

Made sure I was hydrated yesterday (to the extent my bladder got me up at 6am demanding to be emptied!), bit cool again and slightly overcast this morning, but hey, better than the stifling heat or torrential rain we've had of late.

No wildfowl related occurrences today... I think I'm going to start taking my bolt cutters out with me to cut through extending dog leads though, they really are getting to be a pain, I'd estimate that 1/3 of people don't make any attempt to reel their dogs in when they see you approaching. Add to that the "let's walk 3 abreast and make everyone else walk on the grass" brigade, and I seem to have done quite a lot off road today!

No PRs, just a steady 5k, another step on the road to 10k though. Everything crossed for another couple of decent runs on Thursday and Saturday.

Yay, sounds like you're doing great on the magic plan 👍 🙂

Nice and steady, relax and you'll be absolutely fine. Good stuff so far from you 😊

Great run. you do seem to be unfortunate with those you meet on your route though but I guess it keeps things interesting working out where you need to go to avoid people/dogs. Happy running 🤗

Oh those extendable leads are a right pain, and yeah people don’t seem to care that runners have to go round them, my runs always zig zag round walkers or just talkers but i’m sometimes surprised when someone steps out of my way and thank them with a smile
