Doing what I’m told..

For some reason I haven’t posted many of my recent runs so though I’d jot something down about today’s effort. It was a magic plan 9k and a glorious morning for it. Slow, of course. A total of 1hr 34 but that was 4 minutes faster than my first ever 9k back in April - so I call it ‘slow improvement’ 😳. And for once my sensible head won so although I felt I probably could do that extra km, I reminded myself that I set out to do 9k and that’s what I would do. And did. Happy running folks!

Well done I always say to myself it’s not the finishing time it’s the finishing line.

So true - although I wish the finishing line would come round a bit quicker sometimes !😂

It wasn't a slow improvement, it was a fast improvement, I am sure you will be able to run a 10K, sub 90 minutes with a bit more training. 😊 🏃🏾

Thanks Alan; if I ever do manage sub 90 10km, believe me when I say you’ll hear my shrieks all the way from here!!

Well done Oldgirlruns. 9k it is and not far to go to the magic number. 4 mins off this week , how much next week?

🤔- I’ll ask my knees what they think!

I always give my knee 10 minutes of hot water bottle treatment and a quick massage before a run. WD40 on a rusty hinge according to my physio!! Works though🙂

Thank you BC66! To be fair, the running is OK - it’s walking down the stairs later that’s the problem sometimes!!

Thank you TC! Not so sure about looking forward to - but you’re so right about the treats afterwards!!

👏👏👏👏👏 This is really positive going. Well done! 4 minutes is a lot to pick up and what confidence it'll give you going for 10k too.

Well done you! I did 7.6 k today in 1hr 27 so slower but loved my run and still buzzing from it! The main thing is enjoying it. Dreading the winter a little bit...

Well done on the Pb. 4 minutes is a lot to knock off your time. 🥳

That’s a great run and to feel you could do a bit more is even better it really inspires you for the next run - doing what you planned to do is a great motivator so well done for your achievement.

Here’s to the plan for 10k 👍👏
