Today I started the 60 minute plan, with the idea that I'll swap to the 10k plan when I'm done. Following some helpful advice on here, (thanks guys), I decided to do the 5K+ speed interval training for the 15 min run. Oh my!!!! I was ready to throw in the towel after the 5 min run, which was faster than I usually go and then I still had to do the intervals! Anyway I forced myself to carry on (I think that sums up my running career!) and managed to do it, but I was sooooo tired at the end. Anyway feeling good about the achievement. Bring on Thursday!!
Oh my goodness!!!!: Today I started the 6... - Bridge to 10K
Oh my goodness!!!!
Wow well done. It's hard at first but with determination you will get used to it! The worst part for me was the music. 🥴Such a positive post. Keep it up! You can do this. 👏👏
Being determined to finish and that feeling of achievement at the end of a run will keep you going 👏😊💪
Fantastic effort. I'm sure it will all pay dividends and you'll soon be reaping the rewards. Happy running 🤗
Well done for sticking with it! The first session is definitely the worst, you will start to notice they get just a little bit easier, then a bit more... good luck for the next session
Well done. Keep going , you’ll be glad you did 👍🏼
I can totally sympathise. I graduated C25K in June on my fourth attempt by taking on board the advice.of thus community and embrassing my inner tortoise! But, I still have the niggling voice at the back of my head telling me that I set out to run 5k in 30 mins so have I really achieved runner status yet?
So, when I set off for a 30 minute run a couple of weeks ago and realised I was a lot later setting off than I thought and it was already getting hot I decided to swap over to the SPEED podcast......didn't like Laura much that day, I can tell you! Counting to 4 became a survival mantra that only just worked.😂
On the day, I warned my friend to avoid it and decided I'd not try it again this year or maybe ever! But, something called me back. Certainly not the music but I've done it a couple of times since and I quite like the change of pace. Though it's put me off listening to the STAMINA podcast!
I remember that first time on Speed - was a bit if a killer. But it definitely helps. Are you going to do Stepping Stones? Thats good for pace.
Keep on!!
