First 10k I've ever run in my life! I never thought I'd get this far. Thanks to everyone for all of the support and guidance. I guess I'm a runner now - I have a running face & everything (usually this π¬). More like this just now though ππππ.
I finally made it!: First 10k I've ever run in... - Bridge to 10K
I finally made it!
Congratulations! Running your first 10k is a very special milestone - enjoy the buzz! πππππ
Brilliant PC! Really well done. ππ Itβs a wonderful milestone and youβve done it! ππππ
Wow well done!! ππ»ππ»ππ»
Congratulations on your first 10k
Congratulations π₯³, I managed my first 8k on Tuesday now feeling that the 10k will be within reach soonπ€
Now you have achieved 10k, what next?ππ€
Hahahahahahahaha- a lie down! But yes, that question was in my mind as well. Would love to get a bit faster eventually, but am tempted by longer distances. However it becomes such a drain on your time, training-wise. Will need to think carefully about it once I come down off the ceiling πππ. And well done for your 8k; you'll manage 10k no bother at all ππ»ππ»πββοΈπββοΈ
Couldnβt have said it better myselfπ
I am hoping to get to the 10k within the next 2-4 weeks then I think I will consolidate and just try to maintain the weekly distance, mixing up the runs a bitπ€
Everyone says speed will come so π€
At present I count myself lucky being on furlough and having the time to invest in this.
Happy running, enjoy your highππ€£ππ€£
I know, I used my furlough to move from 5k to 10k, and was glad of the extra time. I'm back at work now though, so will have to work out how to fit all this running in - but I will! Good luck with your 10k - let us know how you get on!
Congratulations. πA massive achievement. I shall be following you but i wonβt be catching you upπ§π½βπ»
It's a great achievement, well done. Also a very good time, similar to myself, nice and easy.
Once I had done 8km in the 60 mins I knew I could do the 10km averaging 8mins.
Dont know what's next, just taking an easy period and mixing runs. Hoping to still do 5k under 30mins.
Very disappointed to miss the GNR5K again.

Thanks - I agree about the GNR & similar - would love to do a run with other people, just for a change. I did a few 5ks years ago (pre hip op) & loved the atmosphere, even though I'm normally happy running solo. Never thought I'd get back running again, and better than I was before! (Took about 12 years right enough π π π πββοΈ)
Huge well done on your first 10k, it's a fantastic achievement, congratulations and such a great time too. I hope you celebrated well last night.
Huge congratulations again and happy running.
Congratulations. Hope you still buzzing after hitting your 10k three days ago. Have you been out again?
Still smiling π βΊ! Did a 5k on Friday and am hoping for another 10 this afternoon- fingers crossed π€.
