Sunday run for new shoes๐Ÿ‘

โ€ข10 Replies

Did I want to get out of bed having only gotten into in at 3.30am ๐Ÿ˜ต the hunger gremlins Insisted (little sods).

Then a small voice said aren't you going to go out and see how your new trainers are........." Well errr yeah of course" I replied ๐Ÿคฌ.... But hey I prized my fingers off the door frame and heyho I'm out. The cobwebs on the legs evident.. no pb no silly fast pace. But what a nice steady 10k a simple over my aqueduct, down to the Riverside by means of ridiculously steep steps and then a pleasantly overgrown but runnable trail path through to the country park. So far new trainers doing the job damn fine nice and grippy on the loose stuff. No mud but hey I'm ready when it is ๐Ÿ˜†.

There's a definite feeling of less springyness than in my Brooks adrenaline, but the feeling is sure footed and reassuring .... Well done Brooks another good shoe... And just as at home running on the pavement, road or trail...

The owner of said shoes just needs to find his regular running routine again, I'm missing those longer distances......

Keep safe. Keep running out there people

Well done for getting out with so little sleep and a great run in new shoes by the sounds of it.

I got myself the womens Cascadia 14s yesterday and took mine out for a 10k this morning too. I'm definitely nowhere near as quick as you but I enjoyed it and like you say, they are so grippy. There's one fairly steep down hill on my route that has quite a lot of loose gravel so I usually take it steady but I let myself go a bit more this morning and it was so much fun.

I hope you can get back to your running routine and your longer runs soon, you've got the new shoes so it would be rude not to really ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚

Happy running and happy new shoes ๐Ÿ‘ ๐Ÿ‘Ÿ๐Ÿƒโ€โ™‚๏ธ๐Ÿ˜€

Well thank you FRB, we've got good taste in shoes ๐Ÿ‘ and the little lace pouch, simply brilliant idea ๐Ÿ™‚

Such snazzy new running shoes deserved a good first outing and it looks like you obliged with a very respectable run ๐Ÿ˜Šโญ๏ธ. Great to read your posts again. Hope you can pick up the frequency of your regular runs soon.

Sorry, but it would have been rude not to, I was worried they might melt. ๐Ÿ˜Š
