The new shoes were taken out for their first outing today and carried me to a (not)parkrun time of 49:26 - not a PB but not a PW either and as I’d originally planned just to do a 30 minute trot, I was content with that. They’re a half size bigger than my last pair and the right shoe was fine but the left felt a bit loose so I’ll have to investigate a different way of tightening the lace perhaps. But the feet are happy! Happy weekend running folks!

The first time out
I like that, "but the feet are happy" well done on running your third (not) parkrun in your new shoes, I hope you are also happy as well, tomorrow I will be running my 3rd (not) parkrun and 16th virtual parkrun 🏃🏾.
Enjoy your run tomorrow Alan - I shall have a lie-in and try to remember to do the Parkrun Quiz which starts at 9am!
Go on Al! I'll be thinking of you and cheering you on from here!
👍 🏃🏾
I enjoyed my 16th virtual parkrun and 3rd not parkrun this morning GTFC despite my time of 34.40, I would have been happier if it had been 32.40, since I have started those midweek longer runs my Saturday times have been getting a little slower each week, not sure why, nevertheless the run was enjoyable and that is the main thing. 😊 🏃🏾
And it was windy! We were probably out at the same time but I only did 3k in my sauconys. Glad the shoes were ok. Bring them up before your next run and I’ll show you the heel lock lacing method. Whoop whoop.
Lock your laces 👍🏽
Great to get out for your non parkrun and your new shoes. I had a few problems with my right foot slipping and found this helped 😊
Great effort, as so many people have different sizes feet you would think you could buy individual shoes - just a thought🤷♀️. Happy running 🤗
Well done you!! Did they feel comfy?
New shoes - what a treat! I think there are various ways of lacing shoes, but lots of toe wriggle room is good!
