I have run a full 5k 4 times now with the last one on my c25k graduation run under the 30 minutes. Followed by a 30min consolidation on Saturday. I feel comfortable (although tired) with the distance. I started the magic 10 this morning with a 3k run in 17 1/2 mins.

Do you think I should go back to 30 minute runs for a while or continue with a short medium and long run weekly? I feel pretty good but don’t want to run before I can walk, pun intended

The choice is entirely yours, sound to me like you are doing great with reaching 5k during the c25k plan, not many do. I did 6 runs at 5k as consolidation then started ju ju’s plan last October- never looked back. Great plan. Happy running 🤗

The point of consolidation is to be comfortable at 5k or 30 minutes, which you are... so by that score you’re ready to go on that next adventure. The varied runs will mean that your body is still getting a break from the progression for a couple of weeks in terms of weekly load on the legs... so if you want to go to 10, do it!

Thank you I was hoping this might be an answer as I do feel ready. I just needed to make sure I am not going too quickly and injure myself.
