Checked my stats for yesterday run and average pace was 0.77m/Km faster than previous best for this year so probably why it felt so difficult. I wasn’t trying to go faster, I’d told myself I wasn’t allowed to look at my watch until near the end cos clockwatching is a killer for me. Oops

That’s very good. I’d be interested to know what kind of watch you use. I have fitbit, but it is impossible to see in sunlight, and even looking at the time requires button pressing. I sometimes just put my phone on timer, then a doorbell rings in my pocket when I have reached my cooldown time. The app is Adidas, I don’t like the orange colour of Strava.Congratulations on your gradual improvement. Be proud.
It’s a Fitbit blaze and you’re right that’s another reason I didn’t know my pace I couldn’t see until I got under the trees which is near the 4K section of the route
Thank you. I think I am sometimes surprised when I look at the app. I think I have been slower than usual , when it is actually a bit faster. Like you, I try not to worry about pace, just time for now( week 5 on juju), but it is still a temptation. Enjoy running!
