Having graduated on Couch25K in March, I’ve continued running 3 times a week. I’ve been doing 5K in about 36 minutes but have struggled to increase the distance or improve the pace!
Today I decided to go for it & add an extra loop onto my run. As a result I got up to 6.35K in 47 minutes & even managed to improve on my pace! I have to say that I really surprised myself. I’m pleased to say that it’s really spurred me on to keep going for it! Maybe 10K isn’t beyond me after all.
Any tips on how I get to my target would be really appreciated!

I am much much slower than you and I have managed to run 10K. I followed the JuJu plan that is mentioned by others and it is very good. I think so long as you slowly increase the distance in one of your three weekly runs you will be able to make it. The key for me was being comfortable running 5K (which you clearly are) and the advice that is always given on these forums, slow down if it gets tough. For me being able to run 10K is a miracle and at the moment I am not worrying about the time, just that I can keep going 😊
The Juju plan has two different plans - one is distance and the other is time. In retrospect I wish I had followed the time one first (which helps you increase your running to an hour) and then followed the distance, which gets you to 10K.
Hope it works out for you and keep posting your progress on here so we can follow you 🏃🏼♀️ 😊
Oh well done! I'm at about the same stage as you (March graduate) and have tentatively started working towards 10k. I'm furloughed just now so I've got time 🙄. Likewise, any tips are welcome. Good luck!
