Anyone else having issues with the app? Two days now and it won’t log my activities or the steps from my activities on the app. I have gone into the web page and they are there. Also my garmin turned itself off last night at 8pm, I didn’t notice until I got up in the night a realised it was turned off. It is not an easy thing to turn off either. Weird goings on. Anyone else having issues or is it just me 😳.

The only issue I had last week was the move alert turning itself on and I turned it off only for it to be on again.

I had to go on to the Garmin connect website turn it off there and then sync both.

Other than that , nothing else . I hope you get it sorted 😊

Thank for that, I had a similar thing last year and it righted itself in three days after I got in touch with them. It is just that thing did you really do the (indoor) run if it wasn't logged 😂😂😂.

I know what you mean. There was one time I ran a brand new 10k route lots of hills. Came home it was on the watch but didn't upload to garmin connect or strava . So 2 days later I just had to do the exact same route with all the hills and was so happy when it uploaded. What are we like 🤣🤣

I would do the same 😀. Rfc x

I remember your post from yesterday and low and behold I went out today and ran 16.12km , it's on the watch but won't upload to garmin connect . Bloody nuisance 🤣

I did faced issue with sync for about 3 days (until yesterday), though it was recording activity n steps, but sync wasn't finishing, it was stalling just a quarter before finish. Yesterday it was fixed automatically.

That sounds similar, notifications say synced but it doesn’t show up, hopefully it will sort itself out too. Rfc x

Check application log (Garmin connect, if you are using). You may find something there.

Not recently.

Have you checked that there are no outstanding updates on the web and on the app?

You could try uninstalling and reinstalling the app.

I will check the updates on the app I hadn’t thought of that, thank you. Rfc x

I had a spell of this sort of thing last month. Very frustrating. 😧 It changed its time zone, wouldn’t sync, etc, etc. All very random. I even got out the box to send it back! Usual remedy of turn off/turn on didn’t work.

Eventually I turned it off for 24 hours, then back on and resynced everything. No trouble since. But couldn’t guarantee that wasn’t random also. 🤣 Good luck with it.

I have turned it off and left it and charged it, it seemed to of all gone wrong since I let in run out of charge no I think about it, I will look into that side of things. Thank you. Rfc x

I think the re-sync was somehow important. Actually quite comforted by this thread - seems I’m not the only one! 🤣

When I had the problem logging my steps I contacted Garmin support via the webpage.

Several people helped me although we had to try several things before it was fixed.

The initial problem was because Geoff couldn't log into his account on the pc (because he was clicking on mine,,!) So he changed "his" password which resulted in my watch being aligned to two accounts - I bet you couldn't do that if you tried!

But in the meantime I had missed some updates.

It took a while to fix, but the support team didn't give up on me. Luckily it was via emails, rather than on a phone line or chat

That must of been hard to get to the bottom of it, glad you did though. I will keep looking into things Thank you. Rfc x

I have had issues with mine lately. It kept changing from 24 hour clock to 12 hour clock even though I’d gone into settings in watch and phone and checked it was ticked for 24 hrs.

Then yesterday evening I had put it to charge as I intended to run this morning ( I didn’t though ☹️) and when I went to unplug it at 11.15 to go to bed it was showing 8.15, the correct day and date but stuck at 8.15.

So I tried to turn it off and on again but none of the buttons worked. So I ended up dragging my antique laptop out, firing it up, waiting for the 3 million updates, then loading Garmin express, updating that to latest version and then plugging the watch cable and watch in ...... and it suddenly turned itself off, then back on again and is fine ever since.

Maybe there was an update but surely if so it would be easier if they just put a message on Garmin Connect?

I think that might be the last course of action but luckily it is an option. Thank you. Rfc x

My watch & phone have disconnected. Just read your post as my son was trying to sort it out. He reloaded it onto my phone but it said reload not accepted. It’s been a bit weird for a few weeks but only disconnected altogether 2 days ago 😏

I’m sure it did the same sort of thing last year, maybe they do annual update thing or something. I will keep trying. Rfc x

Hanging head in shame, I turned it in today and noticed the time was out by 2 hours 😳. Put it right and it worked perfectly. Silly me 😂😂😂.

I did earlier today - for some reason the list of activities removed running and I didn’t notice. When I set off I touched the screen , did my run - then realised when I got home that it had logged it as a cycle ride! Now, where did I put the instruction manual?!

Realfoodieclub profile image
RealfoodieclubGraduate10 in reply toOldgirlruns

I’ve done that before usually when I have been doing a pool swim I click strength as they are the same colour and I really do need my glasses to see properly. 😀. Rfc x

Frustrating isn’t it!

I find that if the charge gets really low then the watch won’t sync with the app, even if it’s restarted.

After one recent update the text in the Notes section was black on black so I couldn’t read it. After contacting Garmin, the weird problem was only resolved after another update. Fun & games!

RealfoodieclubGraduate10 in reply toSarararara

Thank you, It is funny you mention low on charge, I had let it run out, which is something I never really do so maybe it will take a few charges to right itself we will see today as I test it out again. Rfc x
