So today I thought I'd try something new, a new route anyway. As a lot of you will know theres been no parkrun since 14th of march.
Every second Saturday my husband drove me there and I new it was about 10k so I decided to run it.
I took water with me because if the heat and a few jelly babies.
There was quite a few people at the loch where parkrun takes place but by that time I stopped my run anyway as my watch buzzed at 10k and took some water and a walk and a few photos.
Beautiful day and a good run.
Happy sunday everyone πππ

That is an amazing amount of kilometers that you have run this month, almost 143, that puts me to shame with a measly 60K.
So you ran TO Drumpelliier, not round it, one thing I have never done is run along roads, like my cycling I like to run off road, congratulations on all those kilometers you have ran this month, it will take quite a few more runs in June to beat that total, enjoy the rest of this lovely sunny day. π
I was just telling Irishprincess that I was out a bike ride which I do on a Sunday that I met 2 runners, the first was running 10K, one of his first, five minutes later I met a second runner who was running 12K who told me he had ran more than a100 parkruns, he asked me about my running, I told him about C25K and I had run 17 parkruns and 6/10Ks, he congratulated me and I wished him well for his 12K run
It made me think, goodness, with that man I met running all those parkruns and you and Grannyhugs running so many 10Ks, ten miles and half marathons I will have to up my runs and do more 10Ks soon, I might run my 7th 10K this Wednesday.
Just run what's enjoyable AlMorr that's so much more important. Like my run today it was very enjoyable. Where as the longer runs I find doable but quite toughππ
Great run for you today on another beautiful day. Love the photos. Wow, look at your monthly total - Amazing effort with all those long runs you are doing now. Happy running π€
Thanks, I wrapped the jelly babies in cling film and put them in the belt I bought for running and no they didn't melt but were a bit warm. I like ' Haribo' ones as the bassetts ones make me feel sick , never liked them ππ
A change of route is great and sounds like a lovely run. The pictures are really nice too. Well done on your distance this month . Thatβs some going! ππΌππΌ
My local park run is only just over a mile from me and I can get most of the way there through the forest, so I walk or cycle to it, but it isnβt as picturesque as your park run seems to be, you win some and loose some!
Its ran in a place called Drumpellier country park , I always used to take my 2 daughters when they were young and went by train. Apart from the loch and the different birds there is a few play areas and a cafe .
Yes but they are further away, I might try Hackney as that is supposed to be flat, I could reach the one near the excel centre by tube/dlr and I think thereβs one other. I was working up to trying them when lockdown happened
