Morning folks,
Hope everyone is safe and well. Also hoping some of you may be able to advise on a good (budget level) heart rate watch that I can link to Strava?
Thanks 🌈

Depends on what the budget is. I'm a Garmin Forerunner fan. Some of the older models are good value. FR30 or FR35. If you want more features the FR45 is the newer version and offers a lot more.
If you don't mind pre-owned look at CEX. They sell grade A used Forerunners with a 2 year warranty at good prices.
Love my garmin forerunner 35 but not used it with strava so cant advise. But the watch itself is brilliant. Just started using it for cycling as well as running. Good luck 🤗
Hi, I’ve recently bought a Garmin Forerunner 30 and it does what I need, in conjunction with the app you can download. It cost about £90.
You can also start and stop a run on Strava using the watch which is much easier than faffing about with your phone. I hope that’s some help.
I have a Garmin Forerunner 235, which is good for most things. You need to be aware that all wrist-based heart-rate measurement is imprecise. Some of them have a tendency to lock onto your pace - foot fall - and misread too. Just treat them as a guide, and you're fine.
I went to the Doc after I got mine 'cos it said my resting HR was 35 (not impossible due to fitness for Usain Bolt, but not for ex-couch-potato ToF), and it turns out I have a naturally low HR (big heart, see?)
I've got a Garmin forerunner 235 and while the HR measurements seem fine while I'm running, they're wildly off when I'm walking uphill.. I did a bit of research and this is quite commkn. I run and walk on a treadmill.. I decided to get a chest strap one, and got a cheap one off Amazon for when I'm walking.. seems fine for now! The one I bought isn't compatible with Strava though, sorry.
