Well I set off today intending to run the first bit with Laura to try to recapture the great feeling on my last run doing a slow cadence. Unfortunately, I forgot to upload the podcast onto my watch and I had left my phone at home, so I had to just wing it.
After the warm up walk I set off on what I thought was a gentle pace, but when I checked my watch I realised that the inner gazelle had slipped the traces and bolted! I reined her in, slowed down and kept pretty much to that snail pace for the remainder of the run. Since I was on leave today, I ran before lunch time and it was pretty quiet in the area that I run so not too much ducking and weaving, although at one point Gasping Man came pelting past, sweat flying and not as far away as I would have liked. I satisfied myself with the thought that with all that gasping he was doing he was NOT enjoying himself unlike moi - gently jogging along. (Interesting how the smug factor increases with slowing down....???)
Completed the 39 minutes feeling that I could continue on - but the programme has worked its magic so far so I'm not going to mess with it! So today was longer and further and I'm inching closer to that 5k - today it was 4.6K. Yay!

Definitely lots of satisfaction to be gained from enjoying your run while you are running.
As they say in The A Team, 'I love it when a plan comes together' and yours is. Well done on that slow and comfy pace. This is what will get you where you want to go.
Inner calm and self poise ☺️🐌. That’s definitely you on this run. What a great post 😃. Which plan are you following? Xx
Its Ju Ju's Magic Plan on this forum - but using the timed version. So I won't be running 10k any time soon!🤣🤣 But it takes you from running for 30 mins up to 60. So I'll definitely hit 5k en route.
