Facebook reminded me today that it's a year since I completed Couch to 5K. I well remember the feeling of absolute elation on my graduation run, despite it being one of my slowest runs as I kept slowing down to take blurry pics...
I have been quiet on here recently as my dodgy hip has been flaring up - the last time I ran was early April and it still doesn't feel quite right. My fitness has dropped off a cliff during "lockdown" but I'm hoping that before too much longer, I'll be able to post about running again. Until then, take care, stay safe and enjoy your running!

Happy runniversary Debston! ๐Keep the faith - I really hope your hip settles down soon and you are able to enjoy getting back to your running again. ๐คI haven't run for 3 weeks myself due to vertigo so I know how frustrating it feels!
You will be back and when you are it will be all the more inspiring. Take care and good luck getting out there.
Congratulations on your Runniversary Debston ๐ฅณ๐. I can understand your frustration having spent 6 months on the IC myself last year. I kept the thought of running in my mind throughout and it felt wonderful to start C25k again back in January. You will be back and we will all be here to cheer you on ๐๐.
Congratulations on your runniversary! I empathise with the fitness dropping off a cliff scenario, itโs the same for me. Hope your hip settles down soon and you can get back out there ๐
Oh debs, bittersweet indeed! I'm another member of the dodgy hip club, and although I've been back running (sort of) for a few weeks now, it's a long way from where I was. You'll get there again, there's plenty of us trying to haul our way back to fitness with you. Feel the love! ๐ x x
Thanks all for the lovely comments, I will try and stay positive! I have been increasing my walking for the last couple of weeks and making sure I hit 10,000 steps every day. Not the same buzz as running but at least it's something!
A runniversary on the IC still needs to be celebrated because it shows that youโve continued the running and that youโll return. So Happy Runniversary to you.
Iโve spent months on the IC over the years so I sympathise but do what you can with any strengthening and stretching and keep the faith that you will get back out there again. And you wonโt have lost as much fitness as you think, Your body will remember. Take care ๐โโ๏ธ๐
Congratulations on the first running anniversary. Itโs hard to be on the IC, but youโll be off it and running around soon. Itโs hard to be motivated to run at the moment too with no parkrun or races to train towards. Get well soon and congratulations again.
