Following my run earlier this week when I took a new route I repeated the exercise today. The first 5k was all on pavements or verges (social distancing) which is unusual for me but there were several firsts. Longest run, fastest 10k (by 3 minutes!!), longest cooldown walk (always aim to finish near home!) and coldest cooldown - hail. It was FABULOUS. Also saw the first poppies of the year. Happy running and keep safe. If you see where I run you could say I was running round the garden. 😆

I wasn’t LOST lost!
Yaaay.....These adventures are sounding fantastic Sybilw! Go you!🤩 Congratulations on the PB! 3 minutes is brilliant!😁❤️
That looks like a great circular run, well done on your new Pb and longest run. Happy running 🤗
Great run and congratulations on smashing your PB 👍💪
Great picture Sybilw! I have fond memories of leafy Letchworth as my parents lived there for many years and my Dad was originally from Hitchin. I remember lots of horse riding with a friend over in Weston! That looks like a great route right round the town!
It was so good I repeated part of it today! Not a great plan to run two days in a row and both longer than my 5k plods. Our parkrun director organised a one hour challenge (in teams) and in my euphoria after yesterday’s run I joined in. The 5k was fine but after that I was just looking for downhill/flat so ended up not sure where I was heading!! Managed 8.1k but had a long - and very slow - walk home!! If you’d like a muddy/challenging parkrun please join us. I’ve room for visitors.
