I still can’t believe that I am on my way to running 10k, all be it slowly. Today also marks the day I hit the 1 stone lost since I started running 🏃🏻♀️
My hubby (who is a life long runner, cyclist, climber etc) and I brought ourselves Garmin Watches as a pre 25th Wedding anniversary treat, we were due to go to Switzerland for the ice hockey worlds next week but due to the current climate we are celebrating in our garden.
Does anyone have any experience with the Garmin coach? I did my benchmark run today and the training plan given seems a little too advanced for me, I don’t have that many running paces yet... slow and slower doesn’t seem to fit into the plan 😂
all thoughts, experiences and advice welcome.

I used a 5k plan with coach Greg after c25k and consolidation, then did JuJu's magic plan and then started a 10k plan with Greg again. As my 10k race was cancelled, I've moved to half marathon with Amy. I'm quite happy with it, and I really like having a structured plan, it might not be the same for everyone
Greg has many variation (speed work, cadence) and is time based. Amy's plans are based on distance, a bit boring, but I felt Greg's long runs weren't long enough for me to be confident that I could complete the distance.
Regarding paces, I selected the highest time, and the paces are fine, but you can select just completion without a runner goal and it won't give you target paces, you can run at your own pace
I just wanted to say lovely watch and happy anniversary 🍾🎉. Use Garmin but never looked at the coach - plenty here will have. Happy running 🤗
I don't use Garmin I'm afraid though it's excellent by all accounts. Those gifts were well deserved. You are on your way to 10k and you will get there. Stamina will always beat pace so keep going!
