I was up with a spring in my step....... But the youngest daughters online drum lesson was at 9.30, teeny weeny delay in getting out and I was aware it was warming up outside 😎.
But hey-ho 10.30 almost two whole hours breakfast was ages ago 🙄.
The now quiet warm up walk was again quiet. Arriving at my swing bridge I started my Garmin and was off, o e other runner ahead of me in the distance nearly a traffic jam 😂. As we both crossed the aqueduct at a safe distance apart he went straight, I opted to loop around and onto the towpath towards Llangollen. It's a familiar section and a lovely surface that given the new quietness everywhere, you can hear the gravel Crunch of trainers perfectly, bit weird though today, I twice I thought I had another runner behind me as 🤔 my footsteps seemed to be a little behind me, am I running to fast??? Am I breaking the speed of sound haha it gave me something to focus on, as I approached my bridge where I leave the canal and head around on to a downhill lane passing the old water mill (forgot to get a piccie 🥺) the lane back towards home is a perfect countryside scene. Bluebells in the hedgerow intermingled with bright yellow dandelion flowers and through the hedge lambs everywhere playing lamb games and bleeting non-stop.
Back across the river using the old stone bridge and the lane rises gradually towards the community centre and then it's just a matter of hauling myself up the little set of steps that are being overgrown by the wild garlic.
And the run is done 👍.
That's a perfect way to kick off a Wednesday ahead of a nightshift.
So go on stop putting it off get yourself out there, fast or slow young or old there's no more excuses 🙂🥳👍
