since starting the C25k in January i have occasionally had a sharp pain under my right armpit towards the outer edge. It probably happens every couple of weeks and when i have been for a run that day but it can be hours after and never when actually running but only when i have run. the pain is so intense it takes your breath away and lasts for 5 or 6 seconds but its enough to make you shout out in pain. its only my right arm and no other pain. has anybody else had this?

That sounds painful. I don’t know if you are a woman but could it be the wires from your bra sticking into you? I know that’s happened to me and it is very painful and is a sharp immediate pain.

Apart from that, sorry I have no idea. But you should probably get it checked out by your GP for a proper diagnosis.

If it keeps happening you should phone. Nowadays it’ll probably be a telephone consultation first and your GP might know immediately what it is.

I get a painful shoulder You use your arms such a lot it’s not surprising we ache. If it’s agony though sounds like it needs checking. I blame the hound dog for my pain though. He started it off 😫🙂

Strengthening exercises might help. Gently of course Bicep curl a tin of beans for example. I’m working out everyday in my sitting room. Some gentle yoga might be helpful

Good luck with it. Take care 🙂
