I finally got fed up with the same consolidation run and yesterday scouted out a new variant whilst walking.

It’s called Wynne’s Bungalow, is 5.1 km, very hilly and has only one dangerous blind bend. I ran it this morning at no Olympic speeds.

But how come so many stretches that feel flat whilst walking are definitely UPHILL whilst running? There’s a 96 metre uphill climb (with only one short respite) for about 60% of the run.

If this doesn’t prepare me for a Parkrun when they start up again, I don’t know what will.

Keep on truckin’ VRBs.

That sounds good HF; no hills where I am unless you make an unnecessary journey in the car! Come Parkrun you’ll be right out at the front I’m sure! Happy running!

At the front? With the grim gazelles wearing bandanas ? No way! I’m happy to finish in the first 100 😃

Well done on completing run. I have no runs without hills where I am. Yes I agree that sometimes what looks flat is definitely not when you run it!
