So 3 days into home working now and looks like it will be 3 months at least until back in office. So been working 15 hour days helping get NHS prepared but thinking I need a me plan. Day one I did 600 steps😱 walking to fridge and loo. Day 2 went for a run but still only got 7k steps, I’m used to doing 10k on a non run day and 15k on run days. So I need a plan.... my run anniversary next week so thinking perhaps I could run every day. 5k and then 3k alternating. What do others think? Need the head space and don’t want to put on weight I’ve lost🙄. Hope all keeping well. Heed the advice, this is going to be a really rough ride. Keep your loved ones close, preferably virtually. An informative link youtu.be/BtN-goy9VOY. Happy running 🏃‍♀️🏃‍♀️

Oh my that’s seriously long hours. Do take care, you can’t help anyone if you burn out yourself. I agree me time is important, think carefully how to balance these long stressful hours with down time so you can return invigorated. Take care 🤗

I’ll be fine, I’m behind a desk but thanks for thoughts. Hearts go out to front line staff ❤️💙. Runs really help get me out the chair and clear head 🚦

You’ve been working really long hours so maybe have a few days rest before considering running every day. Do some strength exercises (squats, lunges, etc) at home, use a foam roller and stretch.

Regarding whether to run every day, work out your usual weekly mileage and then spread that out over the week. You could increase it over time but listen to your body carefully and if there is any ache then take a rest day. You’ll know what to do.

Enjoy it whatever you do 🙂

I couldn’t open your link...

Yes that sounds like a good plan. I’ve slowed right down too as safer. Thank you
