Well that was ‘ard!

I haven’t run for at least 3 weeks and when I woke up I was wavering but eventually decided that if I didn’t shift myself, I was in danger of giving up altogether! So I set off for a slow 3km and ended up doing a very slow 4km! Probably the slowest 4km ever recorded but, hey, I’m not known for speed am I? It was a lovely morning and I’m glad I got out there - I just hope the next one is easier! I’m way behind on the magic plan but hopefully I’ll get there one day! Stay well, Happy running people!

Well done for shoving those gremlins aside OGR! Glad you had a lovely 4k. 😀

Well the views were lovely cheeky! Not so sure about the rest of it - The legs were like tree trunks and it was all a bit of a struggle but I got into OGR-gear (there is only the one!) and just plodded on. Hope you’re all well.

I’m a one gear pony too OGR - works for me, embrace it! 😅😅

Yes we’re all ok. Mr Cheeky is working from home but he’s prevented from doing his favourite thing, rowing. He had to make the call last night about shutting the club up for the foreseeable. He’s not grumpy - yet! If he is, simple, I’ll go for a run! 😅🏃‍♀️

Well done for getting out, and please don’t fret about speed, it’s about getting out and running at whatever speed is comfortable 😎

Thank you ju-ju - probably just as well it’s not about speed otherwise I’d be completely sunk!

Well done forcing yourself out. It always feels great after running. 🤗

Whoopie. Glad you got out to run. You are doing it for both of us now!

Well done! I’m not known for speed or distance so it’s good to have company 👍😁

Sounds a fab run to me! A planned 3K turning into a 4K sounds like a great success 👍🏃‍♀️🙂

well done on going out when you weren’t feeling it. That’s a win in my book.

Well done on getting out. The weather’s ok even if everything else is descending into a stinking pile. I had a nice run on the new waterfront between the Mountbatten Centre and Hilsea Lido yesterday, beautiful morning, nice little 4K loop. Got a feeling running (not in groups) will soon be the only pleasure we can have. Social distancing is going to make a lot of us miserable.

Yes, they've done a good job I think - we were walking there on Sunday morning and were overtaken by a multitude of runners in both directions (Great Run Local).

Well done OGR!👍😀

Well done on your 4K run - bet that felt good after a couple of weeks off!

It did - apart from the bit where I was running on tree trunks through treacle!

Well it did until this morning - when I realised that not only didn’t I do my stretches afterwards, I forgot to do any warm up stretches as well! Doh!

I think I’d be in competition with you for the slowest run yesterday.....I wasn’t sure I was still moving forward at one point 🤣 next one will be great for you I’m sure as the legs get back into it and the head is a bit more cheery at the thought. Well done you for getting up and out 😊

Well done. About the only positive thing currently is that the weather is improving. Coronavirus can’t stop the birds singing or the leaves unfurling and we can get out in it to run. Thank goodness you managed to get your ski trip in before the world closed down too x

Hi Sandie, yes we were lucky with our trip, the whole resort is now closed which will be a huge loss in the town itself. And now no PR either!

I think most of the resorts in the Alps have closed too. Tignes, which is where we went last month, usually stays open until early May as it is so high.

Good to know you ran, I ran 3k and felt amazing after, we haven’t run so much what with my feet and all the rain we’ve had so it’s good to know people who have inspired me are still getting out

Keep well
