Just a reminder for us all...

As Sgt Phil Esterhaus in Hill Street Blues once said...yes, I am that old!

Just a little reminder to all our members.

Your safety, and indeed our own safety, is very important to all of us that work within this forum and we want you to enjoy your experience here and feel safe.

We try to offer guidelines here on the forum in order to keep you safe. But ultimately it is up to you, as individuals to make sure you only share information that you are comfortable with complete strangers knowing.

We recommend that you use Health Unlocked anonymously by choosing a non-identifiable username. But if you post links to other website accounts (Strava, for example) where you have used your real name, you will lose this protection.

In order to keep personal information private it is essential to check the privacy settings of the apps you use.

Do please be careful not to post links which may, albeit inadvertently, reveal personal information about another forum member.

If we, in the Admin Team become aware of anything worrying on this forum we will message you to check that you intended to share that much information. We will edit out certain information such as personal email addresses.

We are so lucky to have this wonderful safe place to share our running adventures! This is just a gentle reminder to always look after yourselves online.

Happy running everyone.

The Team

Thank you for looking out for us as always. I used to love that program and still use that saying. 🤗

I totally agree Oldfloss, anyone can join this forum and read our posts. When someone who had never posted started following me I found it quite unnerving . You then identified that he was following a few ladies on different Healthunlocked forums.

For the same reason, I keep my Strava runs private, so that others can’t see when and where I run.

Thanks for all that you do to keep everyone safe.

It is a strange world....and I know how you felt x How are you doing now..?

Thanks for asking. The Orthopaedic specialist confirmed the original diagnosis ( for $600), and it will take about 6 weeks to heal. I have a brace that could allow me to run but it’s so uncomfortable I think that’s unlikely. I’d end up with lots of chafing too. So I shall be patient ant hope I can get back up to 10k by end of May for the vitality 1000.

Hope you get that back on your insurance!

Well...at least you know what is happening and the time will pass...and, by the time you are ready to run, the days will be longer and the air will be warming. It will be a super time to start out towards the 10K.

Good to know you are ok xxx
