Why is it when you think you are going slow you end up with a good time 🤔. Struggling with jet lag but thrilled with time. I had read that after running in the heat times may improve so perhaps this is why.

That's a cracking time, especially with jet lag. Well done. Is it something to do with by starting slow we have more in the tank to continue at that steady pace? I know I struggle to go slow enough at the start and my speed gets worse as the run continues. Great run from you, welcome home 🤗
Thank you. My first k was 6.15 so even though I thought I was going slowly I wasn’t! I feel as if my legs just won’t go slower. Will definitely have to go slow next run as hoping to do 7/8k. Can’t say I’m glad to be home but I’m sure I’ll settle back .

Varying stride length can mean that your actual pace is different to your perceived pace. Mine varies between 1.13 m and .90m ...a long lope covers lots of ground quickly but doesn't feel very fast at all. Just a thought 🤷♂️

Well done!! I am running very slowly trying to get back into it with jetlag but hoping I will be back on track tomorrow as I feel over it now! 😀
