Hello and a huge welcome to week 5 of the 10 is the Magic Number 10k plan. How are you all doing? So this week is reset week.... no vid as the runs are the same. Use this time to catch up, consolidate, or do some strength work. The pic is from my glorious run in the woods today.... it was superb.

I'm blessed with soooooooo many miles of slightly flat towpaths 🀭 but the hills around me are near verticle 😬 but saying that I did find myself perusing the trail shoes today whilst with the teen-agers in Chester.............

flat towpaths sound lovely. My trails are really hilly but I love the challenge of it :)

Ready for week 5, Week 4 was great with no issues. I got several new PB's over the course of the week and my 30 minute benchmark run has really improved both in distance and pace :-)

Haven't run for 2 weeks due to a bad cold, but hoping to be better this week - surely?!?

Then I'm wary of overdoing it (my energy levels have been v low & easily depleted this year) so think I'll have a week of either short gentle runs or stick to the plan but with run-walk intervals.

My last long run was at 44 mins 2 weeks ago, so 50 isn't out of the question if I manage to recover, but might drop back a week instead to be on the safe side. Who knows - I just want to get back to it, don't care about times right now! My poor dusty trainers ;-)

That sounds sensible, viruses are so draining and it takes the body a while to recover. Take care of you and good plan to drop back and not put yourself under too much pressure :)

I started with 50 minutes today and it went just fine πŸ˜ƒ. Last week, after a cold, I repeated Week 3.

I love doing intervalls for the short run. Thanks for the suggestion ju-ju.
