Squeezed a half term 5k

The first words I heard this morning after a night shift....... "Dad can we go out and do something pppplllllleaseee the teen-agers said......

After much googling and phone research ( teenage life) a visitation to a climbing centre all booked, I was encouraged to go run so that we're not arriving late for climbing...how the teenage mind works is a mystery but heyho, trainers on ( btw running is a joy in proper running shoes and the brooks adrenaline is holding up well, no issues no problems just comfy comfy shoes with the perfect amount of bounce and as a previous user of cheap and cheerful trainers 🀫 I can say categorically that good trainers do improve and make your running so much more enjoyable)

I only wanted a short run today, longer run hopefully 7.5k or 10k next time out... But I'm keeping the legs turning. The towpath was scattered with the odd dog walker here and there, most of them wrapped up like it was winter πŸ₯Ά running dad oh not so cold, shorts and teeshirt and the priceless buff I was toasty warm with slightly chilly fingers.

Dad happy teen-agers happy and there's even the mention that they may treat me to a coffee at the climbing centre out of their pocket money life's good.......

Happy half-term running everyone

Nooooo... I have been climbing for over twenty years (in my 40s now); my climbing partner (in her 50s) is very strong, and I have a friend in his 70s who still climbs. Never too late πŸ™‚

I’m impressed you have teenagers who want to put out! Have to drag mine out through high levels of protesting to do anything!!
