Can’t believe I actually ran 8K! Seemed like it definitely wouldn’t happen at the 6.5k mark when I saw the size of the hill that was in front of me! I actually ended up going a bit further as at the 8K mark I still felt like I was going to throw up from the effort of the hill, and I wanted to get my breathing and pace back under control to make sure 8k didn’t become like a mental wall I couldn’t get over. It felt great to be out in the sunshine, especially since tomorrow looks awful! Have a great weekend all 😀

Woop woop well done! Especially with the hill 😵👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Thankyou! I think that hill was karma as I spent the first part of my morning marshalling at parkrun on the hilly section telling people how great they were doing with a big smile on my face 😂 I was trying to be kind and encouraging but realised after if I’d been one of the runners I might have wanted to punch me in the face 🤪

Congratulations on your 8k especially with a hill involved. You've been out today so you can hide from the storm tomorrow 😊😊👏👏👏👏

Brilliant stuff. And great that you kept going until you felt good again - that was clever thinking. I am not a fan of uphill running but it has to be done!
