2nd marshalling experience. Shepton Mallet

Today I was one of the scanners. Oh how exciting, and what a privilege. The fast, mostly guys come in, then the nearly getting there, then the rest of the field, followed on by the we’re trying really hard. People can hardly speak, they drip with sweat, but they are all successful. I loved the experience. The last in was the lady I have spoken of before. She ran in almost in tears, all the Marshalls were cheering. ‘You’ve done another PB’ ring the bell’. As I walked home with this lady, she said it was looking for you, for my high five’. I’ll be running next week, so you’ll get one. We talked of the wonderful family, that is park run.
